Overview
As part of their spinout from a global payments company, Dragonfly needed to transition their international workforce quickly, compliantly, and without disruption. Under the terms of the divestiture, Dragonfly had to replicate benefits and continue employment for global staff—yet lacked legal entities in key countries like Singapore, Ireland, and the U.K.
Challenge
Chief People Officer Ellen Bockelman faced a tight deadline to retain critical global employees and protect client relationships. Her top concern was ensuring a seamless transfer of highly specialized technical consultants in Singapore—a team essential to one of Dragonfly’s most strategic clients. Replicating benefits and remaining compliant in multiple countries, all with different labor laws and administrative hurdles, added complexity and urgency.
Solution
On the advice of a Big Four tax advisor, Bockelman vetted Employer of Record (EOR) providers and selected Pebl for their visa expertise, benefits continuity, and white-glove service. Pebl guided Dragonfly through Singapore’s Employment Pass process, helped retain employees across multiple regions, and ensured every worker felt informed and supported during the transition.
Outcome
With Pebl handling onboarding, visas, payroll, benefits, and compliance, Dragonfly completed their divestiture on schedule—while retaining all critical international talent. Pebl’s ongoing HR and compliance support lifted a major burden from Dragonfly’s lean team, enabling peace of mind and operational continuity across borders. The success of the partnership has opened the door to expanding EOR support into new markets.
